For 10 years we have been preparing students for the CIPLE exam and we are proud to have an almost 100% pass rate.
The dates for 2024 are out and enrollment is open, you can do so here on the University of Lisbon website. The places have been filling up very quickly, most centres in the US and UK are now filled up, and in Portugal there is only places towards the end of 2024 available, so I recommend if you plan to take the exam to book for the place and dates you prefer while you can if possible.
In 2023 / 24, we are running four CIPLE preparation courses, each 12 weeks long, divided into 3 x 4week blocks. The cost is 55€ per month / 150€ for the 3 month course. To book and pay you need to get in touch, or book on a CIPLE info session first (this is to ensure that everyone booked on understands what the course is about and is at the right stage for the exam)

PLEASE NOTE: This is a short exam preparation course for students who are at the level of the exam (or very close to it). Ideally you will have completed level 2c (A2.3) of the courses we offer, meaning that you are familiar with all the vocabulary and grammar you need, including the past tense.
We are running regular 30 minute info sessions for anyone interested in doing the CIPLE course. Learn all you need about our A2 exam preparation courses and get all your questions answered.

Three month-long modules to review and cover everything and ensure you are well prepared to take and pass the exam.

Month 1
Grammar and Vocabulary review
A 4-week course taking you through all the vocabulary and grammar areas that you will be expected to be familiar with for this level of Portuguese. This will enable you to identify and be able to work on weak areas prior to the exam.
Format: All material is sent to you the week before the lesson. Then in the online hour long lesson we will discuss the questions and do activities to practise the week’s content. After class I will send you further practice activities.
Months 2 & 3
Exam preparation course
Each month (4 weeks) I will take you through one part of the exam.(Speaking, Writing, Listening and Reading). You will see plenty of examples of what you most likely have to do in the exam, receive strategy tips and pointers to help you get the best marks and be confident you will pass on the day.
You will also have the opportunity to do a mock speaking test with another teacher each month and you will be given a full practice test to do in your own time towards the end of the course.
In addition everyone will have a 30 minute 1:1 session at the beginning of the second month to discuss how you are getting on.

For those of you in Portugal, I recommend taking the exam in Leiria. It is a good exam centre (quiet and easy access / parking) that runs sessions regularly. Information on enrolling for the official exam here.
You need to enrol at least 3 weeks before the exam date. NOTE: the exams fill up, make sure to register well before this date. Results are usually available online 6 weeks after taking the exam.
