In Person Classes
The in-person classes meet weekly at several levels. Join us in Alvaiázere, central Portugal, 20 minutes north of Tomar Classes are here - link to googlemaps.
We will run 3 x 12 week trimesters in 2026. Levels to be confirmed.
1st Trimester - Week 5 Jan – 3 April (week off 16 Feb)
2nd Trimester - Week 13 April – 3 July
3rd Trimester - Week 14 Set – 11 Dec (week off 26 Oct )
2026 – Autumn Trimester
14th September - 11 December 2026 Week off 26th October
A1.2 Tuesdays 10-11h (moving on from beginner)
A2.1 - Tuesdays 13h30-14h30 (getting more independent)
A2.3 – Tuesdays 11-12h (introducing the past tenses)
B1+ - Tuesdays 12h-13h (conversation and development)

For most of these classes, to maximise class time and speed up your learning, we use the blended learning approach of OnTrack online - where you receive access to all the course materials in advance, so you can prepare each lesson in in your own time, and so then in the classes you will know what we are going to be doing, be prepared and we will spend the class doing activities and plenty of speaking!

Friday afternoon conversation and study group, to chat about studies, do ‘homework’ etc in a learning environment(weekly 13-15h30).
Monthly class outing the first Friday morning of each month - (02/10, 06/11, 04/12 this year) visiting local places to get out and about and hear and use Portuguese :)

We'll get speaking! Each session stands alone, covers one useful topic (such as going to the café, talking about family, travelling…) and will include games, activities and role plays in Portuguese.

· Speaking Workshops - One practical topic per session (ordering in a café, talking about family, shopping, travelling and more). Learn through games, activities and role plays—all in Portuguese.
· Pronunciation Masterclass and Practice - Learn how Portuguese sounds really work. Improve your pronunciation, listening skills and confidence with practical exercises.
· Grammar & Language Learning - Understand how Portuguese works through comparisons with English. Discover practical learning strategies that will help you make faster progress.
