0 – A1 Novice
You are beginning with the language, learning the key vocabulary, and the very essentials of the language structure

A1 Basic User
You have picked up a fair bit of language, have a good idea about that the structure and are beginning to realise you need to know the verbs well in order to progress

elementary

A2 Threshold User
On completion of this level you are able to understand and express yourself well in the present and past and can be more specific in your meaning. You can read stories with support and have more ‘grown up’ conversations. 😊

intermediate

B1 Independent user.
At this level you know a lot now, have a good handle on the verbs past and present and are starting to get into the nuances of the language. You are able to read well but need further study to express yourself clearly.
